WATCH: Cardinals hit with absurd false-start penalty

The Arizona Cardinals were hit with a couple more false-start penalties against quarterbacks in the first half Saturday, but one was absolutely ridiculous.

Whereas the clap-snap is something that got Kyler Murray in trouble last week, backup Brett Hundley didn’t even use his hands on this call. Instead, he lifted his leg like we’ve seen quarterbacks do a thousand times before to signal a snap count.

Not surprisingly, head coach Kliff Kingsbury was beside himself and wouldn’t even comment for fear of being fined by the NFL.

In no way was what Hundley did an “abrupt” movement intended to draw defenses offsides. Instead, the officials botched this one badly. And that’s a fact.
