Kansas City Royals pitchers were not having it early Monday night against Marcus Semien and the Oakland Athletics.

Oakland dropped five runs in both the second and third inning, spearheaded by Semien’s performance at the plate.

It started with a base-clearing three-run triple to run starter Brad Keller from the game in just the second inning.

In the midst of a career season, Semien then took reliever Jorge Lopez deep the very next inning for a three-run blast to give the A’s a 10-2 lead.

Talk about teeing off on one of the worst pitching staffs the American League has to offer. Six RBI and half the cycle in just three innings.

Semien, 28, has now put up 23 homers and 68 RBI from the lead-off position this season. No wonder the A’s are on pace to hit a ridiculous amount of homers during what has been yet another surprising season for the team.
