Report: Cardinals release former Bears first-round bust Kevin White

Former Chicago Bears top-10 pick Kevin White was looking to resurrect his career in the desert after an injury-plagued four-year stint in the Windy City for the wide receiver.

Unfortunately, that’s not going to be the case. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Arizona Cardinals have released White after signing him back in March.

This really has become a cautionary tale. White, 27, played a total of 14 games in four seasons with Chicago after starring for West Virginia in college. He missed his entire rookie season to injury and was never able to remain healthy.

As Schefter notes, White is recovered from the hamstring injury that cost him the last week of his Cardinals tenure. Whether this means another team will come calling here soon remains to be seen.
