Staying true to what we saw last year, Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has no real interest in playing his starters much, if at all, during the preseason.

That MO is going to lead to disappointed NFL fans in Hawaii as the Rams take on the Cowboys this weekend.

Los Angeles announced on Thursday that a vast majority of its starters will not even take the trip to the island oasis.

The Rams did not get into detail. But it’s safe to assume the likes of Jared Goff, Todd Gurley, Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp and two-time reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald will not make the trip to Hawaii.

This is somewhat significant in that the Rams received criticism for resting their starters last preseason. Some believed that it would hinder them come Week 1.

That did not happen. Led by the offensive genius of Mr. McVay, Los Angeles averaged a whopping 32.9 points per game en route to winning the NFC.

We will likely see more of impressive young running back Darrell Henderson and others on the field in Hawaii. As it relates to the Cowboys, they played some of their starters last week. We can expect Dak Prescott to be on the field this weekend.
