WATCH: Twins’ Nelson Cruz hits 473-foot HR

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Baseballs aren’t juiced. Players are just stronger. That’s an argument some have made during a 2019 season that will likely see the most homers in MLB history.

Either way, it’s fun to watch. Just ask Minnesota Twins fans, who are in the midst of watching their team break the New York Yankees’ single-season mark for homers set in 2018.

We can also ask Twins veteran Nelson Cruz. The dude simply continues to rake. Chicago White Sox starter and All-Star Lucas Giolito found this out in the first inning of Thursday night’s game.

Cruz absolutely blasted a Giolito pitch 473-feet over the left field fence in Chicago.

We really can’t blame Giolito for flinching after giving up that jack.

As noted, this represents Cruz’ fourth consecutive game with a homer. The 39-year-old veteran has now hit 23 on the season and is on pace for his seventh career 30-plus homer season.

Though, this might be among the most impressive of the bunch.
