Dodgers starter Rich Hill out for more than a month with left flexor tendon strain

Dodgers pitcher Rich Hill

Los Angeles Dodgers starter Rich Hill will be on the shelf for a while after leaving Wednesday’s game with an injury after only one inning.

The Dodgers placed Hill on the injured list on Thursday with a flexor tendon strain in his left forearm. While he’s hopeful that the injury won’t be season ending, Hill won’t even pick up a baseball for at least the next month.

Los Angeles does boast solid starting pitching depth in the organization. Still, the loss of Hill will be felt.

On the season, Hill has a 2.55 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 61 strikeouts in 53 innings over 10 starts.
