San Diego Padres star Manny Machado was ejected Saturday for getting into it with home plate umpire Bill Welke, and now he has been suspended one game.

Machado was upset over a called strike three in the fifth inning and aggressively went after Welke. He was tossed from the game, and from there things continued to get testy.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today shared Machado was suspended and will appeal, “for aggressively arguing and making contact with umpire Bill Welke” following the ejection.
