Impressive stat shows how potent Cubs’ lineup is

Javier Baez launched a game winning home run in the eighth inning of Sunday’s game. In doing so, he gave the Chicago Cubs a unique milestone.

It was the 100th home run in the career of Baez, who won’t turn 27 until December. Teammates Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant both hit their 100th career home runs before turning 27, as well.

No other MLB team has three active players to have reached that milestone so early.

It’s also worth mentioning that Kyle Schwarber enters Monday’s action with 88 career home runs. He won’t turn 27 until the offseason.

So, the exclusive trio of Rizzo, Bryant, and Baez may soon add a member and become an even more exclusive quartet.
