It’s never fair when a big man gets switched on to a guard on defense. Denver Nuggets veteran Mason Plumlee found this out first hand during Tuesday’s Game 5 matchup against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.
For the second time in the initial half alone, Lillard was fouled on a three-pointer. This time, it came with Plumlee on him.
It was, however, Lillard’s moves before nailing the three that had to be embarrassing for Plumlee.
Plumlee might as well have been put in a lab for a rat race. No matter what he did to defend Lillard, it was not going to be successful.
Having struggled from the field over the past couple games, Lillard needed to have things go right early on Tuesday. At the very least, he put up a highlight-reel play.
