Man who won $1.19 million after Masters places $100K bet on Tiger Woods to win Grand Slam

When Tiger Woods won the Masters, James Adducci won $1.19 million off of an $85,000 wager. Now, Adducci is going back to the well.

Ben Gawkes of ESPN reported on Wednesday that Adducci placed a $100,000 bet on Tiger to win the Grand Slam in 2019. If it pays off, Adducci will win $10 million.

That is some confidence. There’s a reason this bet would pay off so handsomely. If Tiger wins the Grand Slam, he’d be the first man to ever do it.

Yes, Woods did win the “Tiger Slam” when he held all four majors. But that was over two different seasons. Bobby Jones did win the calendar Grand Slam in 1930. But that was the U.S. Open, the British Open, the U.S. Amateur, and the British Open.

The single season accomplishment of winning the Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and British Open in the same year has still yet to be achieved. If that does happen this year, Adducci will cash in quite nicely.
