Look: New York paper’s back page roasts Jets and Adam Gase

Adam Gase

After the New York Jets made the stunning decision to fire general manager Mike Maccagnan, at least one of their hometown papers is having some fun at their expense.

Manish Mehta, who covers the Jets for the New York Daily News, tweeted out the back page for Thursday’s paper. It’s not friendly to the Jets, Maccagnan, or coach (and interim general manager) Adam Gase.

Yikes.

Those weird pictures of Gase during his introductory press conference are the gift that keeps on giving for the New York papers.

Even if Maccagnan’s firing was justified, the timing is unquestionably odd. It puts the Jets under a great microscope. We can only imagine what the back pages will look like if the team struggles during the season.
