A.J. Green injury update: Bengals star will be healthy for training camp

A.J. Green

Cincinnati Bengals star receiver A.J. Green underwent off-season toe surgery due to an injury that he suffered last season, but there’s good news on the horizon.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter spoke with Green on his podcast. Green shared that he will be healthy and ready for training camp this summer.

If Cincinnati is going to awake from its slumber (19 wins the past three seasons), then Green will certainly be a big part of that transition. When healthy, he’s one of the league’s best receivers, which was evident when he hauled in three touchdowns in one half of play last season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Over the course of his career, the former No. 4 pick out of Georgia has lived up to his draft slot. He’s hauled in 596 catches for 8,824 yards and 62 touchdowns in eight seasons, despite playing with a quarterback in Andy Dalton who can only be described as mediocrity defined.
