Bryce Harper made his return to Washington D.C. Tuesday as his Philadelphia Phillies took on the Washington Nationals for the first time since he signed in Philadelphia. His former fans were not in the welcoming mood.
Harper got a fair amount of boos as he stepped into the on-deck circle. When he stepped to the plate, the booing only got louder.
At least in this at-bat, the Nats and their fans got the ending that they wanted. Max Scherzer struck Harper out swinging.
