Just remember. One of the quarterbacks selected early in the 2019 NFL Draft will be as memorable as one Giovanni Carmazzi. Another quarterback taken in the later rounds might very well have himself a decent career.
This is the message New England Patriots Super Bowl winner Tom Brady has for prospects as the 2019 NFL Draft inches closer.
In a very Brady-esque way, Tom Terrific didn’t stop there.
Way to make it about you, Tom.
Joking aside, the six-time Super Bowl champ has a real point here. Back in 2000, a then-scrawny Brady was the 199th overall pick in the draft. His status as a sixth-round selection has since been deemed almost as legendary as Brady’s career.
We have to remember that GOAT was the seventh quarterback off the board in that draft. In fact, someone by the name of Spergon Wynn (we’re not making up that name) went 16 picks before Brady.
This year’s NFL Draft prospects should heed Brady’s call. It’s not always all about who goes in the first round. Brady has six rings he can use as an example.
