Redskins hosting quarterbacks Daniel Jones, Dwayne Haskins this week

The Washington Redskins are set to host two of the top quarterbacks in the 2019 NFL Draft, Daniel Jones and Dwayne Haskins, this week as they prepare for the annual event.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media notes Jones will be visiting the team Wednesday, while Haskins will be coming in later this week.

Washington is slated to pick at No. 15 overall this year, barring a trade.

We recently explored the idea the Redskins could trade up into the top five to land Haskins ahead of their NFC East rival, the New York Giants. However, recent reports indicate the Ohio State product could take a draft-day tumble and potentially land right in Washington’s lap midway through the first round.

Jones is more likely to be on the board if Washington stands pat at No. 15, however. The Duke product has some intriguing traits and reminds some of a former Redskins starter, Kirk Cousins. Yet he’s not as highly touted as Haskins and figures to be the last quarterback selected among the top four.

One player who remains on the back burner concerning this entire conversation, however, is Josh Rosen, whom Washington reportedly would love to land in a trade. Many believe he’s better than any quarterback outside of perhaps Kyler Murray in this year’s draft class, and there’s a good chance he’ll be available in a trade soon.
