Kelly Stafford thanks supporters, back at home after 12-hour brain surgery

Kelly Stafford, wife of Detroit Lions star quarterback Matthew Stafford, is back home again following surgery to remove a tumor from her brain.

On Easter Sunday, she shared a message of thanks and detailed a complication that turned her six-hour surgery into a 12-hour ordeal. She had an abnormal vein that her surgeon had thankfully seen before and had the knowledge to deal with.

Last month when she announced she would need surgery, Stafford explained how she had been experiencing dizziness and vertigo, the latter of which started happening in January of this year.

We’re beyond thrilled to know her surgery went well and that she is back at home with her family.
