Jose Canseco offers Chris Davis help after setting ‘record’

Baltimore Orioles slugger Chris Davis has been on the receiving end of criticism during the early part of the season.

Including an 0-for-5 effort Monday against the Oakland Athletics, Davis has now gone hitless in his past 49 at-bats, including his first 28 this season. That’s not what we’d call being on the right side of history.

In an attempt to help Davis, former MLB All-Star and known weirdo Jose Canseco has offered to aid his much younger counterpart. Not only that, Canseco is out here giving psychology advice on socia media.

Given that Canseco himself might not be the most-stable individual, we’re not sure if Davis should take him up on the offer.

On the other hand, it couldn’t hurt. Davis has been absolutely terrible over the past season-plus. If meeting with Dr. Canseco cures his ills, it will be worth it.

After all, Tim Tebow has struggled after not taking Canseco up on a similar offer.
