The Kansas City Chiefs are adding a pass rusher after losing both Dee Ford and Justin Houston in March.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kansas City has acquired young defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah from the Cleveland Browns.

Ogbah, 25, was an original second-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He’s been a full-time starter since, recording 29 quarterback hits and 12.5 sacks in three seasons.

The Oklahoma State product had been on the market since Cleveland acquired Olivier Vernon from the New York Giants as part of the Odell Beckham Jr. trade.

In return for Ogbah, the Browns netted safety Eric Murray. He started nine games for the Chiefs last season.

He could ultimately replace Jabrill Peppers in the Browns lineup after the first-round pick was traded to New York in the above-mentioned OBJ blockbuster.
