Zion Williamson once again will sit out against Wake Forest

Zion Williamson has not played since the crazy shoe-explosion incident that left him with a Grade 1 right knee sprain, and he’ll be out once more Tuesday night.

Duke announced that Williamson will be held out against Wake Forest.

This leaves Williamson with just one more regular-season game to potentially play before the ACC Tournament begins, if he does play before the postseason begins.

The freshman has been the biggest star of the 2018-19 college basketball season. He’s averaged 21.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game this season.

Including the North Carolina game when he was injured within the first minute, Williamson’s absence has led to a 2-2 record for the Blue Devils.

Many top NBA stars believe Williamson should shut it down completely to prepare for the NBA Draft. Yet that does not appear to be the case and we fully expect to see him playing for Duke again this year.
