The Pittsburgh Steelers needed to find some depth at receiver behind JuJu Smith-Schuster after dealing away All-Pro Antonio Brown.

They did just that Wednesday evening — signing former Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Donte Moncrief to a two-year contract.

Moncrief, 25, played just one season in Jacksonville after signing a huge short-term contract. The Mississippi product ultimately tallied 48 receptions for 668 yards and three touchdowns.

This came after a four-year run in Indianapolis in which the former third-round pick never gained as much as 800 receiving yards in a single season.

While Moncrief can’t be compared to Brown in any way, he does provide Ben Roethlisberger and Co. a big-bodied receiver. The 6-foot-2 pass catcher has tallied 21 touchdowns in five NFL seasons.
