Bryce Harper returned to the lineup for the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday after the injury scare last week. After going 0-3 on the day, he remains hitless this spring.
As a way to get some work in, Harper will be playing a minor-league game on Monday, per Matt Breen of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Bryce Harper went 0 for 3 today with a walk, a groundout and two strikeouts. He begins spring training 0 for 8 in his first 14 plate appearances. He will play in a minor-league game on Monday and play right field on Wednesday.

When asked about his spring slump, Harper acknowledged he’s a bit behind and wants to get into a groove before Opening Day.
Bryce Harper: The goal is definitely to get a couple knocks. I don’t want to leave spring without a hit but if that happens then March 28 here we come. Timing is definitely a little behind right now. A little late on some of the pitches. Just trying to get that the best I can.

Given the amount of money the Phillies paid Harper this winter, it’s going to be interesting to see how long the honeymoon period will last if the superstar struggles early in the season.
