WATCH: Karl-Anthony Towns drops 23 points in the first quarter

Since returning to the court following a near-death experience last week, Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns has been en fuego.

He entered Thursday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers averaging 35.5 points and 19.5 rebounds over the past two outings.

Indiana realized early and often that Towns is playing completely out of his mind. The All-Star dropped 23 points and seven rebounds in the first quarter alone. It really was a sight to behold.

Three-pointers, moves inside and mid-range shots. His entire arsenal was on full display against a vastly superior Pacers team.

If KAT can keep this up, Minnesota will have a fighting chance at the playoffs. It entered Thursday night’s game four games out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
