The Minnesota Twins have added yet another veteran to their roster with spring training getting going in Florida.
According to Jon Morosi of MLB.com, Minnesota has inked veteran utility man Marwin Gonzalez to a two-year, $21 million contract.

Gonzalez heads to the Twin Cities after having spent each of his first seven MLB seasons with the Houston Astros. This past season saw the World Series champ hit .247 with 16 homers, 68 RBI and a .324 OBP. That came on the heels of a 2017 campaign in which Gonzalez posted a studly .303 average to go with 23 homers and 90 RBI.
This move is big in that it gives Minnesota a ton of depth at multiple positions. Gonzalez started 65 games in left field, 29 at shortstop, 19 at second base and 21 at first base last season.
Minnesota had previously added the likes of veterans C.J. Cron, Nelson Cruz and Jonathan Schoop to its lineup earlier this winter.
