Report: Bucks pull off three-team Nikola Mirotic trade

The New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly traded center Nikola Mirotic to the Milwaukee Bucks, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe.

The Pelicans will reportedly receive Jason Smith and Stanley Johnson in the deal.

Additionally, the Detroit Pistons are involved, per Wojnarowski.

The Pelicans have been trying to move Mirotic for a little while, so in no way is this a shocking trade.

Mirotic immediately gives the Bucks an added presence inside. A talented scoring big man, he averages 16.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, despite playing just under 29 minutes per game.

Milwaukee was said to be one of the teams hot to trot for Anthony Davis, but with the deadline fast approaching it appears they have instead opted to take a less drastic measure to upgrade as they push for playoff seeding in the east.
