Le’Veon Bell ecstatic about impending free agency: ‘Free at last’

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Wednesday that they’ll let star running back Le’Veon Bell test free agency without placing any sort of tag on him.

This likely means that the All-Pro running back will be calling a new city home next season. It’s been a long time coming for the star after having the franchise tag placed on him the past two years.

In response to the Steelers’ announcement on Wednesday, Bell did his best Martin Luther King Jr. impersonation.

Needless to say, Bell is happy about being a free man.

It’s certainly been a drama-filled past calendar year for both the running back and his soon-to-be former team. After all, Bell didn’t play a single snap this past season after holding out for a new contract.

He’ll likely completely reset the running back market in free agency — surpassing the record deal Todd Gurley received from the Los Angeles Rams last summer.
