Pretty much everyone outside of LeBron James has been subjected to trade rumors on the Los Angeles Lakers over the past few days. That includes a young core group of Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram.

Ingram himself was confronted with said rumors by Indiana Pacers fans on the road during Tuesday night’s humiliating blowout loss.

Following the game, multiple Lakers players were asked to address Thursday’s trade deadline and the possibility they might be moved for Pelicans star Anthony Davis.

While Ingram’s response was somewhat predictable, Kuzma had the quote of the night.

Anyone who has not been hiding under a rock over the past month or so knows that Kuzma is referring to the hit Netflix movie “Bird Box” starring Sandra Bullock.

The movie focuses on people having to blindfold themselves in order to avoid making eye contact with a monster that will eventually lead to their demise.

Sure this isn’t a life or death situation. That doesn’t mean that a player’s life can’t be turned upside down during the NBA trade deadline. They are humans, too. This is their livelihood. They have families.

It’s great to see that the young Kuzma can keep a sense of humor while dealing with the never-ending rumors.
