Kristaps Porzingis ‘feeling great’ but confirms he won’t play this season

Monday was a huge day for Kristaps Porzingis, who practiced with the Dallas Mavericks for the first time since being traded from the New York Knicks.

Afterward, as he spoke to the press, he confirmed what Mark Cuban recently said about the plan for the rehabbing star forward the rest of the season.

Porzingis said his leg is “feeling great” and that he feels “bouncy,” but he also conveyed confidence in the team’s plan to keep him off the court for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

The Mavericks are planning to re-sign Porzingis and team him up with Luka Doncic for the long haul. With these two dynamic stars the future is bright, indeed. With that in mind, keeping Porzingis on the shelf the rest of this season just makes too much sense.
