Dont’a Hightower took a free shot at Philip Rivers and got away with it during Sunday’s divisional-round game featuring the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots.
The play had already been blown dead due to a delay-of-game penalty. The officials were blowing whistles all over the field, yet Hightower either didn’t hear them or just didn’t care. He laid into Rivers, decking him to the turf.

Not surprisingly, Rivers was pretty upset that Hightower wasn’t flagged for the hit.
