On Sunday, a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter in which he said head coach Jason Garrett tried to bring Jason Witten out of retirement made national news.
Witten himself has since shot the report down, saying, “There’s nothing there.”

On Monday, Garrett made a point of completely debunking that story.
Jason Garrett this morning on @1053thefan was asked about the ESPN report that he had discussions with Jason Witten about leaving the broadcast booth to return to the Cowboys. Is that true?
Garrett: “No.”

Jason Garrett reiterated that there is no truth to espn story about him trying to talk Jason Witten out of retirement. No talks. No hypotheticals. There is no truth to that story, Garrett said matter of factly.

So, it seems pretty cut and dry that, even if there had been some talk at some point, neither Witten nor Garrett has any interest in a reunion at this point.
And, to be fair, the ‘Boys are on a roll now and have finally figured out how to get the offense going, sans Witten and Dez Bryant.
