The Miami Heat’s already disappointing season has now taken a turn. Boasting a 13-16 record on the season, Miami will now be without star point guard Goran Dragic for the next two months.

Multiple media reports noted on Wednesday that Dragic will undergo knee surgery and is expected to miss two months.

Dragic, 32, has already missed 15 of a possible 29 games this season. The Heat boast a 7-8 record in games the All-Star has been sidelined. Even then, this is certainly not good news for the struggling team.

One of the most underrated perimeter players in the game, the knee injury has obviously impacted Dragic this season. He’s shooting just 41 percent from the field, the lowest mark since the guard’s rookie season back in 2008-09.

With Dragic sidelined over the long term, fellow veteran Wayne Ellington will continue to start at the point. We can also expect future Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade to see an uptick in minutes.
