Broncos Pro Bowler Phillip Lindsay will undergo surgery, out 3-4 months

Denver Broncos undrafted rookie free agent Phillip Lindsay made some history by making the Pro Bowl in his first NFL season. Unfortunately for the former Colorado star, he won’t be playing in the Pro Bowl in Orlando.

Lindsey suffered a wrist injury Christmas Eve against the Oakland Raiders. He’ll now undergo surgery with an expected recovery time of three-to-four months.

That’s the word from NFL Media’s James Palmer.

The good news here is that this shouldn’t cost Lindsay much of the Broncos’ offseason program. He’ll certainly be back for minicamps and training camp. The bad news? It would have been nice to see the impressive youngster play in Orlando.

Lindsay, 24, finishes his rookie season having put up 1,278 total yards and 10 touchdowns in 15 games. That’s amazing stuff.
