Twitter reacts after Purdue upsets No. 16 Iowa

In what’s quickly becoming a trend for the program, the Purdue Boilermakers pulled off another upset special on Saturday. This week saw the Boilermakers take down the No. 16-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes.

Purdue trailed 36-35 with under five minutes left in the game at the 50-yard line. The Boilermakers worked down the field methodically on an 11-play drive, eating up chunks of yards and winding down the clock.

The clock-killing drive put the Boilermakers at Iowa’s seven-yard line with only eight seconds left on the clock. On came senior kicker Spencer Evans with a chance to be the latest hero for Purdue.

After another shocking win over a ranked program, Twitter erupted with reactions to Purdue’s third win this season over a ranked opponent.
