LeBron James hints that he wants son to play for Duke

LeBron James’ son is at least four years away from even considering playing in the NBA. Still just in eighth grade, “Bronny” hasn’t even matured into adulthood yet.

Even then, he’s been all the rage after dominating AAU competition and should ultimately be a high recruit out of high school.

If so, the older LeBron seemingly wants his son to play for Mike Krzyzewski at Duke. In responding to a recent rant from Coach K about expectations of young players, James had this to say on Instagram.

“Love Coach K!! The absolute BEST! Hope he’s still at the helm when my boy comes up,” James commented, via ESPN.

That’s one interesting comment from James.

Of course, we’re still years away from this coming to fruition. In fact, the NBA might not require prospects to attend college once James Jr. is eligible.

But James isn’t necessarily wrong here. Coach K is among the most-respected coaches in basketball history. Duke has acted as a pipeline to the NBA during his long tenure. He would do wonders for Bronny.
