With his New York Yankees up 6-2 in the bottom of the eighth, Giancarlo Stanton put some more room between his team and the Oakland Athletics in Wednesday’s American League Wild Card Game.

He did so in epic fashion, blasting a monstrous homer off A’s closer Blake Treinen. It’s a homer that completely cleared the first deck beyond left field.

It was Stanton’s first-ever postseason homer in his first ever playoff game. And it was a moonshot.

A homer like this doesn’t come across too often. And needless to say, Twitter had its reactions.
