Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield had a tough go at it in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

A combination of the rookie holding on to the ball too long and a horrible performance in pass protection from Cleveland’s offensive line led to Mayfield being sacked four times and hit a total of eight times in the initial half.

Mayfield was also seen getting up slow after slipping on the sideline. From that point on, it was readily apparent that this reigning Heisman winner wasn’t anywhere near 100 percent.

With Cleveland looking to find itself at above .500 this late in the season for the first time in well over a decade, things didn’t start swimmingly for Mayfield and Co.

By virtue of his struggles in the passing game and some big plays on the other side, Los Angeles headed into the half up 21-6.

Obviously, Twitter was very active in talking about the painful first half we saw from Mayfield.
