Teams can find themselves in tricky situations as they attempt to navigate through the NFL trade deadline. As it relates to the Denver Broncos, that included trading star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to the Houston Texans on Tuesday.
At 3-5 on the season, Denver is pretty much out of the AFC Playoff race. That doesn’t make it any easier for players to see the team pretty much give up on the season.
Following the report of Thomas’ trade to Houston, former teammate and fellow wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders expressed his displeasure in a big way.

This shouldn’t be considered a huge surprise. Thomas and Sanders had gone to battle with one another for each of the past four-plus seasons.
Seeing his friend shipped off to Houston couldn’t have been a great feeling. Having it happen in the middle of the season magnifies things further.
