Third Falcons starter reportedly done for the season

Things just continue to spiral out of control for the Atlanta Falcons. Fresh off an impressive win over the division-rival Carolina Panthers, Dan Quinn’s squad has reportedly lost another starter for the remainder of the season.

This time, it comes in the form of Pro Bowl-caliber guard Andy Levitre.

A full-time starter throughout the duration of his 10-year career, Levitre has started all 47 games in which he’s appeared in three-plus seasons with the team. He’s been among the most-consistent guards in the NFL during that span.

This comes on the heels of Atlanta losing star young defenders Deion Jones and Keanu Neal for the season.

No team can overcome these types of injuries and expect to be top-end Super Bowl contenders. Through the first two weeks of the season, Atlanta has now lost two Pro Bowl players and another that could have easily been picked for the all-star game multiple times in his career.

Ouch.
