There’s been a lot of expletives used to describe Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr’s performance through the first three games of the season.
No one has gone off the rails to conclude that he’s playing good football after tossing two touchdowns compared to five interceptions thus far on the season.
Until now.
Leave it to Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson to shower Carr with praise ahead of his team’s matchup against the Raiders this coming Sunday.

That takes the definition of “playing well” to an entirely new level. In last week’s loss to the Dolphins, Carr completed 27-of-39 passes for 345 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. The final pick came in the end zone, cementing Oakland’s third consecutive loss to open the season.
That’s the opposite of playing well.
The good news? Oakland gets to take on a Browns team that has not won a regular season game on a Sunday since December 2015. The bad news? Cleveland is coming off a rare win and will be starting Baker Mayfield in Oakland. He’s someone who is actually playing well.
