Cardinals’ Josh Rosen makes NFL debut vs Bears

With his Arizona Cardinals down by two points and just over four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, rookie quarterback Josh Rosen made his NFL debut for the team.

It came after Sam Bradford struggled doing anything of substance through the first three-plus quarters.

Appearing on the Fox Sports pregame show earlier on Sunday, The Athletic’s Jay Glazer reported that Rosen would enter the game in relatively quick fashion should Bradford’s struggles continue early on.

Arizona had opened up a 14-0 lead before seeing Bradford continue to do absolutely nothing under center. That’s when the team turned to Rosen.

At 0-2 on the season and having performed like the worst team in the NFL, it’s interesting that Arizona would throw Rosen out there against a great Chicago Bears defense rather than give him a clean canvass to work next week against the Seattle Seahawks.

In any event, Rosen has now been called on to help save Arizona’s season. Whether that happens is anyone’s guess.
