Joey Bosa: Younger brother Nick Bosa a better pro prospect than I was

Joey Bosa made quite a splash as a rookie in 2016, earning Defensive Rookie of the Year honors despite missing four games due to a holdout over his contract. With that in mind, what he said about his younger brother, Nick Bosa, should have NFL teams drooling over the pass rusher’s potential.

Bosa says his younger sibling is a better pro prospect than he was coming out of college.

“I think he’s pretty far ahead physically. He has a better understanding of pass-rushing than I did in college, that’s for sure,” Bosa said, per the San Diego Union-Tribune.

That’s pretty intense.

During his DROY campaign in 2016, Bosa racked up 10.5 sacks and 41 tackles in 12 games. He also applied constant pressure off the edge and has only continued to improve his craft heading into Year 3 of his own career.

Nick Bosa is one of the top prospects heading into the 2019 NFL Draft, to be sure. We recently highlighted him as the No. 2 overall prospect behind only Ed Oliver out of Houston.

Heading into his junior season, he’s expected to continue ascending following two solid seasons at Ohio State in which he racked up 13.5 sacks and 23 tackles for a loss.
