Former first-round pick Breshad Perriman unlikely to make Ravens’ final roster

The Baltimore Ravens made sure to upgrade their wide receiver situation this past offseason by adding veterans Michael Crabtree, John Brown and Willie Snead.

While this is going to help Joe Flacco and the Ravens’ passing games, some holdovers from previous seasons are sweating a bit heading into roster cutdown day next weekend.

That includes 2015 first-round pick Breshad Perriman, who has caught a total of 43 passes in three NFL seasons.

According to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Perriman is unlikely to make the final 53 man roster. In doing his roster projections, the beat writer has those three above-mentioned receivers as well as Jordan Lasley, Chris Moore and Janarion Grant earning the six roster spots.

Given his struggles to produce and the injury-plagued nature of his career, the Ravens have been patient with Perriman. That’s now unlikely to continue into this season, especially with the reinforcements Baltimore has brought in at wide receiver.
