Dez Bryant to reportedly meet with Browns Thursday

The long talked-about meeting between the Cleveland Browns and free agent receiver Dez Bryant is finally nearly upon us, as Diana Russini of ESPN reports the two sides will convene on Thursday.

Last week, Browns general manager John Dorsey said he’d love to have Bryant in for a meeting if only the receiver would return his calls.

Then Bryant, who’s been a very active guy on Twitter recently, confused a lot of people before finally saying he would be taking a visit with the Browns.

Cleveland is looking for receiver help after having traded Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills recently. Additionally, Josh Gordon, who the team continues to say will be back at some point, remains away indefinitely without any time frame for his return.

Last season in Dallas, Bryant caught 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns. Once among the most dominant receivers in the game, he’s been hampered by injuries in recent years. But if he’s healthy and willing to be a role player for the Browns, Bryant could have a positive impact, nevertheless.
