Andrew Luck had a rough go of it Monday night as his Indianapolis Colts hosted the Baltimore Ravens, but one big positive emerged in the end.
At one point in the first quarter, Luck was sacked by Terrell Suggs, who hit him hard, causing his previously injured throwing arm to get driven into the ground.

No doubt, those within the Colts organization held their collective breath at the sight.
But after the game, Luck said he “didn’t feel anything,” and that he didn’t even realize it was his right arm that was driven into the turf.
“I actually did not. I did not realize,” Luck said, per Zak Keefer of the Indy Star. “Told (Anthony Castonzo) after the game I’m sorty of happy I was sacked by Terrell Suggs, a legit, sack.”
Luck then detailed the moment of truth, saying, “I landed on my right elbow, sort of reminiscent of how I injured my shoulder a couple of years ago. Didn’t feel anything, didn’t even give it a second thought. I think maybe that’s actually a big deal for me, to sort of lose that thought bubble.”
Then he told Castonzo that being sacked by Suggs was “fun.”
The fact that Luck did not even consider these facts until after the game really is a big deal. The mental aspect of coming back from a big injury like the one Luck has recovered from is sometimes much more difficult than overcoming the physical rehabilitation.
The Colts have to feel great about their young quarterback heading into the regular season. He not only looks like himself again on the field, but any potential ghosts of his past appear to have been banished.
