Aaron Judge provides update on wrist injury

Aaron Judge is getting better. That’s the good news for the New York Yankees. The bad news is that according to Judge, the progress seems is slow.

Judge spoke about his wrist injury on Tuesday. While he noted that he is feeling better (corroborating a recent statement from manager Aaron Boone), the level of improvement is probably not as rapid as the Yankees and their fans would like to see.

For New York’s sake, hopefully this heals at a greater rate over the next two weeks.

The Yankees are all but a lock to head to the playoffs. But with a month to go in the season, they have an outside chance of catching the Boston Red Sox in the AL East. Entering Tuesday, New York trailed Boston by 6.5 games. That’s a significant deficit to overcome, especially if Judge is going to remain sidelined.

On the season, Judge has hit .285/.398/.548 with 26 home runs and 61 RBI in just 99 games.
