LeBron James has announced his intention to join the Los Angeles Lakers, and Julius Randle would like to stick around and play with The King.
Shams Charania of Yahoo reports Randle hasn’t yet received an offer, but the restricted free agent‘s representation is expected to speak to the Lakers on Monday.

Randle posted 16.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game last season, shooting 55.8 percent from the floor. He also dished an average of 2.6 assists.
Because of that terrific campaign, Randle is due for a hefty raise. However, the Lakers must balance his worth against the potential of adding a superstar player next offseason if they don’t trade for Kawhi Leonard now.
Los Angeles ideally would be looking for a short-term agreement, so Monday’s meeting will provide insight as to what exactly Randle is seeking.
Long-term financial security is important, but he’s also weighing the opportunity to play alongside a legend. And if everything goes well on a one-year deal, Randle’s free-agent value could be even higher next summer.
