As reports emerge that Baltimore Orioles shortstop Manny Machado could soon be traded within the next 24 hours, the feeling seems to have sunk in for the All-Star shortstop.

On Tuesday, Machado talked with reporters about the rumors swirling around his status. The 26-year-old, who has spent his entire career with the Orioles, now seems ready for the inevitable change.

It will indeed be a very different experience for Machado. Moving from Baltimore to Los Angeles will provide a major transition and could be even more beneficial for a player looking to market himself before free agency.

More importantly, the shortstop moves could be potentially going from a 28-win team to a ball club with almost double that win total. As a result, the change should allow him to potentially experience the postseason.

Adjustments can be tough, especially the first few weeks in a new city and clubhouse. Fortunately, it should be a much better environment for Machado.
