The New York Jets announced Wednesday that cornerback Rashard Robinson will be suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2018 NFL season.
Robinson was suspended for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse and will be eligible to return to the Jets’ active roster on Monday, October 1 following the team’s September 30 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He was arrested back in January and found to be in possession of THC-laced candy.
The Jets acquired Robinson last year in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers. He’s a former fourth-round pick out of LSU who has played in 28 games, earning 14 starts in his first two NFL seasons.
Last year, Robinson intercepted one pass, forced one fumble and and tallied 27 tackles.
