Eagles’ Jason Kelce to perform with the Philadelphia Orchestra

The defending champion Philadephia Eagles made a pretty bold roster move this week in lending out starting center Jason Kelce to the Philadelphia Orchestra for a performance later in July.

The move enables Kelce to reinvent his high school passion for the saxophone while putting him in front of thousands of rabid Eagles fans at Philadelphia’s Mann Center. It’s a move that’s unlikely to backfire, and could very well lead to another career path for Kelce.

Okay, that’s all drivel.

Kelce will in fact perform with the Philadelphia Orchestra this coming Tuesday in a routine that’s being dubbed as “A Championship Season.”

The concert will benefit the Eagles Autism Challenge and will include highlights from the team’s first Super Bowl season.

For his part, Kelce isn’t foreign to blowing into the sax recently. Following Philadelphia’s Super Bowl win over New England this past February, Kelce played the baritone with Central High School in Philadelphia.

This is a job well done. Not only will Kelce be able to bust out his rusty pipes, the concert will benefit charity.

City of Brotherly Love, indeed.
