Suns reportedly waive G Tyler Ulis

In an attempt to get further under the salary cap, the Phoenix Suns made what has to be described as a shocking move on Saturday.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Phoenix has waived 22-year-old guard and former second-round pick Tyler Ulis.

A pretty big contributor for the Suns in his two seasons with the team, Ulis averaged 7.8 points and 4.4 assists per game in 2017-18. Though, his shooting left a lot to be desired. He shot just 40 percent from the field and 28 percent from distance in Phoenix.

Despite this, most figured that Phoenix would actually be able to add assets by moving the young point guard in a trade. After all, he was slated to make just $1.54 million next season.
