Free agency hasn’t even started yet. Players technically can’t talk to teams until midnight Sunday morning. They can’t sign with other teams for several days.
Even then, it seems like LeBron James to the Los Angeles Lakers is a foregone conclusion. Earlier on Saturday, Vegas put some staggering odds on James deciding to bolt Cleveland for Southern California. That came after the King was spotted landing in Los Angeles.
Now comes this ridiculous piece of information from Vegas. Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino gives the Lakers the second-best odds to win next year’s NBA title.
The #Lakers now have the second-best odds to win the 2018-19 #nba title at +350 at Westgate.
They opened 20-1 and were +650 yesterday before odds were taken down.

If there was ever a time for any of us to see into the future, it would have been yesterday. The dramatic change in the landscape of NBA title contenders in the eye of Vegas is just absurd.
Remember, James can’t even talk to the Lakers until midnight. He can’t officially sign with the team until the middle of next week. Even then, Los Angeles is now right behind the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors as favorites to win the 2018-19 title.
